I had wanted to photograph this landscape, Cézanne's landscape, for a long time. Finally on July 14, 2014, I was able to do it. I have photographed landscapes, including the Mediterranean landscape for over 20 years. I wanted these photographs to express what I have learnt about photography, landscape and light. I wanted them to be inspired by Cézanne's landscapes (my favorite part of his work).

Las Vegas is a fascinating artificial concept and city. It is where money, gambling, spectacle, and imagination meet. It is where people come to be entertained. It stands as a symbol of certain way of life: glitzy to the point of being gaudy, overdecorated, spilling money as it wastes water. A trump card is considered a shortcut to power and control in a card game. Trump in 2016 took a different meaning... if anyone can embody Las Vegas, no-one can certainly do that better today (for better or for worse) than "the Donald" as some call him... thence "Trump City."
